My name is Leor Alon and I'm a first generation American, who has always been obsessed with both the man made world and nature. In this photo I take arguably the most vital part of human innovation into an isolated natural landscape and use its radiant light to highlight the sublime aspects of the natural world. I then printed the image and mounted it to a metal frame and placed it in a dark room using only the light source from the photo itself to illuminate the image. I wanted to use mild steel for the frame of this photo to reference the huge amounts of metal construction steel that I've found sticking out of the ground, deep in the middle of nowhere.
